““Born in 1908 in central Europe, Oskar was raised Roman Catholic.
In his adult years he would become distracted and even seduced by the unbelieving world around him, but would Oskar remain rooted in the Christian faith?
As a young man during the Great Depression, Oskar struggled to stay afloat financially—as did millions of other people around the world.
But Oskar was a clever—if sometimes opportunistic man—and he always managed to bounce from one job to another, able to put food on the table.
Then, as the storm clouds of an increasingly powerful Germany started whipping up a peaceful Europe, Oskar’s life took a different turn:”
