Grace supports Kendall-Whittier Elementary School and its families by:
Providing 20 Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter Gift Baskets to families identified by the school's social worker
Providing personal grooming kits and toothbrushes
Volunteering for Reading Partners
Supporting teachers with break room items
Many other ways as we identify needs...
In the Neighborhood we...
Operate the Emergency Clothes Closet, providing basic clothing items for acute needs.
Operates a distribution site for Meals On Wheels of Metro Tulsa
Donates to the Kendall-Whittier Emergency Food Pantry
Deliver "Meatloaf Ministry" to at-risk neighbors, supplementing MOW.
Sew Quilts to give to Domestic Violence Intervention Services and DHS
Ecumenical Involvement
Grace Lutheran Church has a long history of cooperation and dialog with local congregations.
Grace participates in the Downtown Clergy Association which meets monthly. This is an association of Senior pastors and clergy from historic congregations in and near downtown Tulsa. They meet for fellowship and sharing in ministry struggles and strategies.
The Knippa Interfaith/Ecumenical Lecture Series is in its 30th year, the lecture series hosts an annual academic presentations by scholars and theologians from Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religions. Lectures address contemporary topics in living in an increasing pluralistic society. Lectures take place the last Sunday in January.
